Have you ever paper pieced a lemon?
Paper Piecing is one of my favorite stamping techniques, but I usually use it with a whimsical stamp rather than a realistic one.
I like how it turned out with this A Happy Everything stamp set. By the way… this is one of the Free Sale-a-bration choices, as is the paper used, the Best Year Ever Designer Series Paper.
This card was inspired by the Mojo Monday 378 Sketch.
I changed the circle shape into an oval shape since it fit my stamp better, and I chose to not back the card with another layer.
(I love the love of clean cards so I will more often remove a layer than add a layer.)
To make this card, first stamp the lemon on Whisper White and cut out with the Oval Framelits.
Then, stamp the lemon two more times, on two different pieces of paper from the Best Day Ever DSP.
Next, cut out the lemon from the Crushed Curry DSP and the leaves from the Coastal Cabana piece and layer them on the original stamped image.
To finish the card, use the same two pieces of DSP to make the banners!
Hexagon Punch Tip:
Use this punch for making nice flag ends for your banners!
This was a fun card to make. Here are a few more cards using the Paper Piecing Technique:(click on the titles to see the original posts)
and my favorite .. the Swallowtail!
What stamps do you own that would work well with this paper piecing technique?

Love the idea to stamp the lemon on decorated paper! The moose and fox are so cute 🙂
Your cards always look so elegant, but simple to make. I love it!

So cute and professional looking, yet fairly simple to make (I think). The swallowtail is also my favorite – so colorful. Thank you for all the inspiration!
I love paper piecing as well. The lemon really turned out cute! Thanks for sharing with SYC.
