Have you seen the simple but fabulous Stampin Up Elegant Bird Bigz Die? Use it with the Stampin Up Big Shot to make cards and decorations for many occasions. The die itself has two parts: the body and the wing. This sample shows it on a regular sized card, which is 4 1/4 inches by 5 1/2 inches so you can see the size of it.
This is a quick and easy card idea for the Elegant Bird. (Doesn't that name just fit the image?) I used paper from the Flirtatious Specialty Designer Series Paper with the coordinating Wisteria Wonder Card Stock and added some Bakers Twine, a pearl for the eye, and a tiny tag. The eye looks more like a silver brad on the picture, but it really is a pearl!
The wing die has a fold over piece on the end which you can cut off if you want the wing to lie flat, or you can attach just the folded part and the wind can be horizontal. Think of flying birds as vintage Christmas tree ornaments, or decorations for a bridal shower! On this card, I attached the wing by the flap and then used a dimensional on the top part of the wing. You can see the little shadow on the card below the wing.
I love the Jewelry Tag Punch for adding little details to a card.
