If you don’t mind fussy cutting, the Sweet Little Stocking Designer Series Paper makes the cutest puppy and kitten Christmas cards.
When I have any designer series paper that has cute images to cut out, I use an evening of watching tv to create a bunch of cut-outs to have handy. They are all kept in an envelope and when I need a focal point, I can just grab them.
Watch the video below to watch these cards being made.
A Tag on a Card
Isn’t this kitten with evergreen antlers adorable?
The kitten and the bird are attached to one of the Tailor Made Tag Dies. Two pieces of twine are used for the tassel.
The white cardstock measures 4″ x 5-1/4″ and the two designer series paper pieces are 3-3/4″ x 2″ and 3-3/4″ x 2-1/2″.
Card Layout with the Image on Top
How about changing up your card to put the main image at the top?
Raised Card Front
This cute puppy wrapped up in Christmas tree lights is on the basic white card piece which has been raised up with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
It might not show so well here, but you will notice it in the video.
Split Front Card Layout
For this card, start with a 4-1/4″ x 11″ piece of Thick Basic White Cardstock scored @ 5-1/2″ Cut one end 2-1/4″ from the center fold. Take the cut-off piece and trim it to 2-1/4″ x 4″. Attach two 2″ x 4″ pieces of designer series paper.
Use a Rectangle Die or any size of Basic White cardstock for the accent piece.
Attach the long narrow piece at the top and the bottom to the two pieces of the card front. Add the sentiment in the blank space.

I was just watching the gift card holder tutorial (replay) and love those. Someone mentioned Ghirardelli Squares as a filler just as I thought of that idea.
I also wanted to let you know that your “Stampin’ On the Back Porch” inspired the name for my weekly crafting classes. I’ve named it “Crafting in the Clubhouse” since I use our mobile home park clubhouse for my classes.
I love all the ideas you come up with and I have signed up for your All Good Cards Club. Haven’t watched LIVE yet but hope to do so soon. Seems like I always have something else going on at the time.
