What if you could take one of your favorite fun folds and give it a whole new personality with just one simple change? There are a handful of fun folds that never seem to go out of style, and the classic Z Fold is definitely one of them. Today I’m sharing another twist on this favorite—a Reverse Flip Card. It’s just as easy to make as the original, but it opens in a fun, unexpected way that’s sure to make someone smile. If you enjoy taking familiar card ideas and giving them a fresh new look, I think you’re going to have fun making this one.

It opens like this…
Here’s how easy to make this:
- Score a regular 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ card base at 2-1/8” and 4-1/4” and Z-fold.
- Layer a 3-3/4” x 5” Basic White piece onto a 4” x 5-1/4” piece of coordinating cardstock. Then adhere this on the inside of the card.
- Layer a 1-5/8” x 5” DSP strip onto a 1-7/8” x 5-1/4” strip of coordinating cardstock. Adhere this on the left front flap.
- To make the center flap piece, adhere two 2-3/4” x 4” Basic White pieces on the front and back of a 3” x 4-1/4” piece of coordinating cardstock. Put adhesive only on the left half of this piece. Then with the card base open, align this piece on the middle of the inside of the card and close the left front flap to adhere down.
- Add your accent/sentiment pieces.
