If you are ever in a hurry and need to get a few cards stamped quickly, this is the technique for you! Look at the beautiful card using the Snowflake Soiree stamp set:
This picture doesn't show the glitter on the Island indigo snowflakes, so just know that its really sparkly in real life!
Just think about making eight quick and easy cards with just one hand stamped piece of card stock! Its so easy. After stamping the snowflakes all over a sheet of whisper white card stock that measures 10 1/2" x 8", you will cut the card stock down the middle to make two pieces of 5 1/4" x 8" card stock and then you will cut those pieces into 2" widths.
Next, take a sheet of Island Indigo card stock 10 1/2" x 8 1/2" and cut that in half to make two pieces of card stock, each 5 1/4" x 8 1/2". Next, cut those in strips of 2 1/4". You will end up with 6 pieces the correct width and two pieces smaller. No problem – you will just cut each of those two pieces in half and put a piece under the top and bottom of the stamped 2" piece. Now, if that doesn't make sense, here is a stamping video tutorial below that will walk you through cutting the paper.
A card like this is perfect for a wide variety of occasions. I used the Curly Cute stamp set for the "Happy Birthday". The rhinestones and some glittering diamonds provide the bling! I think Baja Breeze and Island Indigo, which are the two colors used on this card, make a great color combination.
The Snowflake Soiree stamp set is beautiful, and this same design can be used with any stamp set. Click here to see the Watercolor Winter Christmas card from an earlier blog post.
What stamp set would you choose to use with this design?
