Busy schedule but love to craft? I hear you! That’s why I want to share a really easy card layout that’s perfect for those who love crafting but are short on time. It’s also ideal for beginners or anyone looking to make a stack of beautiful cards.
You only need three things: cardstock, designer series paper (DSP), and a little something for an accent. The hot air balloon birthday card is made with the Lighter than Air Collection.
The butterfly completes this card using the Perennial Lavender Designer Series Paper.
Just the Trusty Toolbox Designer Series Paper is needed for this card since the tools are fussy cut from that same paper.
Punches make an easy way to add an accent to these cards.
A Quick Card Layout You Will Use Over & Over Again
Step 1: Start with a base of solid cardstock. This will be the foundation of your card and can be any color that complements your DSP.
Step 2: Choose a piece of your favorite DSP and cut it slightly smaller than your card base. This creates a lovely framed effect and lets both the base and the pattern shine.
Step 3: Add an accent. This could be anything from a stamped image, a die-cut shape, a button, or even a simple bow.
This layout is not just quick and easy; it’s also incredibly versatile. By changing up the DSP and accents, you can create cards for any occasion. Give it a try and see how satisfying and fun quick card making can be!
