This cute little lamb from the Barnyard Babies stamp set greets a new baby with “Welcome, little one.”
Instead of the more traditional pastel colors used with baby cards, I went with Cucumber Crush, a vibrant shade of green! That with the Daffodil Delight sun makes for a bright card!
The video tutorial below will show all of the steps. First I started with a 2″ x 4 3/4″ piece of Whisper White Card Stock and trimmed one end with the Scalloped Topper Punch.
With the lamb and the words put on the same acrylic block, stamp on the tag at an angle. (One of the great things about this card is that you don’t need to care about getting the words on straight!)
Next, use just a little adhesive to attach the tag to the card temporarily. You will just lay the tag so that the words now are level with the bottom of the card – it doesn’t matter what the angle of the tag is! I have made 90 of these cards and there is quite a range of looks!
Add the yellow sun, the green grass, and sponge over the grass with a sponge dauber.
Carefully remove the tag from the card, add dimensionals under the tag, and then attach it to the card permanently.
Tie some Cucumber Crush 1″ Dotted Lace Trim with Linen Thread at the top of the tag and add a bit of color to the lamb and the card is finished!!
