My favorite gifts to give often include either a book or a gift card to a favorite book store, new or used, so what could be better than this Elegant Butterfly Punch Gift Card Holder/Bookmark? You, of course, can easily adapt it for any gift you choose to give!
Besides the Elegant Butterfly Punch (p. 184 #127526 $15.95), this card uses the coordinating stamp set Papillon Potpourri (p. 115 #123757w #18.95, #1234759c $14.95) and the Two Tags Bigz Die (p. 193 #115954 #21.95).
There are the two parts side by side
The bookmark pulls right from the holder and a gift card would be attached to the strip with a glue dot. If the gift is an actual book, you don't need the gift card. How about adding a fun quote about reading? On this card, I would write my message on the back of the bookmark.
This bookmark works great in a book because there is a dimensional in the middle of the accent piece which attaches it to the base piece. This allows the accent piece to go over the top of the page you are bookmarking!
Doesn't the International Bazaar Designer Series Paper (p. 164 #126920 $10.95) work great too with the Summer Starfruit circle cut punched right out from one of those papers? There are other colors of circles on the same pages so you could do a variety of looks with this same idea. I used Summer Starfruit, Primrose Petals, and Midnight Muse Card Stock on this card.
The words were done with the Itty Bitty Banners stamp set (p. 134 #126255w $15.95, #126257c $11.95) and the Bitty Banners Framelits (p. 191 #129267 $14.95) Both the words and the bookmark were made with the Big Shot!
Step by step directions will be found in the stamping video tutorial below.
The card stock for the wrapper measures 4 1/4" by 5 1/2" (which is a quarter sheet of card stock) scored at 2 1/2" and at 5". Fold on the score lines and attach. Then you are ready to decorate! You can make four of these from one sheet of card stock.
So what else could you do with this Elegant Butterfly Punch Gift Card Holder?
I enjoy all of your videos! Your project today was adorable! Thanks for all your fun ideas!
