I don't know how these fan folded accents came to be called "lollies" but I love the look. I had never even heard the term before regarding candy. Ah…the things I missed as a child! One thing I didn't miss was years of experience folding the church bulletins into fans…..and here I am still using that skill. What's different? My favorite new tool, the Simply Scored Scoring Tool, makes these folds perfectly spaced and faster to make!
This card by Christine Pierce uses sponging over the Medallion stamp to create a beautiful, classy look. The lolly is made from the Spice Cake designer series paper. The words from Hand-Penned Holidays adds just the right touch.
On this card, Meg McAllister used different sizes of strips to create different sized lollies. The "Happy Birthday" is from the Bring On the Cake stamp set. The brightly colored Flirtatious Specialty designer series papers gives a totally different look from the Medallion card.
Tomorrow I will post a video on how to make the lollies so watch for that.
