Imagine giving your handmade cards the stunning packaging they deserve! This DIY Greeting Card Gift Box Tutorial will help you create gorgeous gift boxes in a flash!
Cards make a great gift for so many occasions.
This is a gift that keeps on giving – the person you give them to gets to enjoy them first and then they are passed on to others! What a win-win. Make a few special greeting card boxes to have on hand and you are always ready for a fun and useful gift to give.
How to Make DIY Card Boxes
Start by scoring your 8-1/2″ x 11″ card stock as shown on the template.
Fold on each of the score line then cut it as shown. Your final piece will look like this.
Adhere some Tear n Tape
Start assembling the box.
Prepare 4 strips of DSP and adhere on each side of the box. The largest DSP piece will go to the top front.
The flower is made using 3 circle punches, or flower punches of different sizes. (I used 1-3/4″, 2″, and 2-3/8″ circle punches.)
Crumple the pieces up, then open and attach with a brad in the middle.
I put 4 cards in this box all made with the Thoughtful Journey Designer Series Paper. It will hold a few more cards if desired.
Each of these cards has a 3-1/2″ x 4-3/4″ piece of Designer Series Paper layered on a 3-3/4” x 5” piece of cardstock and then on to a regular card base. (8-1/2” x 5-1/2” cardstock, scored @ 4-1/4″ and folded.)
How easy that is?! And you can also put other gifts on this box aside from cards.
