Struggling with Thin Die Cuts? Here’s Your Instant Fix!
Say Goodbye to Frustration: Easily Attach Thin Die Cuts Now!
I have three different methods to share, but let’s start with my absolute favorite.
1. Using Silicone Mat, Sponge, and Multipurpose Liquid Glue
This method is my favorite because it’s easy and effective. Here’s how to do it:
- Take a silicone mat and put in a little bit of liquid glue on one corner.
- Dab a sponge in the glue and gently apply it to the back of your thin die cut.
- *Any excess glue can be rubbed off and will dry clear, leaving a perfectly flat die cut.
2. Using Glue Dots
This method leaves parts of the die cut slightly raised, giving it an airy look.
- Take your die cut and find the widest parts where you can place the glue dots.
- Press the glue dots onto the die cut, squeezing them to make sure they don’t show through.
3. Using Sticky Paper
Using sticky paper requires a bit more time but is very effective.
- Cut your sticky paper to the size of your die cut.
- Peel off one side of the sticky paper and adhere it to your cardstock.
- Run the cardstock with the sticky paper through your die-cutting machine.
- Peel off the backing of the sticky paper to reveal the adhesive side.
- Place the die cut onto your card for a perfectly flat finish.
Each method has its own benefits and can be used depending on the look you want to achieve.
