Today I am making card supplies for 14 different cards for 30 people!
Not exactly a card swap, but this is the same way I create my cards swaps.
I hope this will help you when you plan!
This card uses the Sweet Sorbet Designer Series Paper (a FREE Sale-a-bration item) along with the “thanks” from the Thanks & Hello stamp set and the Apothecary Accents Framelits. I love how the four different shapes in the Apothecary Accents can be used together like on this card.
Since I am making 30 sets of card pieces, I first figure out what I need for each piece.
The larger framelit will be cut in half so I only need to make 15. I will cut my DSP into 3 inch strips. Two framlelits will fit on each strip so I will need 8 strips – so 2 sheets of DSP.
The smaller framelit on the Basic Black card stock will fit on a 2 3/4″ wide sheet of card stock, so I will cut my 8 1/2″ x 11″ into 4 strips to make them 8 1/2″ x 2 3/4″. I will get 4 on each strips so one sheet of card stock will give me 32 cut-outs.
The base cards are made with the 8 1/2″ x 11″ Basic Black card stock cut in half, and scored so they will make a card size of 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″. I will need 15 sheets of that.
The Whisper White for the insides measure 5 1/4″ x 4″ so I will get 4 from each sheet.
The side strips are 2″ x 5 1/2″ so I will cut 2 pieces of the DSP at 5 1/2″ and then layer those and cut 2″ strips all the way down. That will give my 12 strips from each sheet. I will need 2 1/2 sheets of DSP.
So my pieces are cut. I will put them in 30 stacks and package them!
Already done!?! Now…..only 13 more cards to go!
I know it will all be for a fun time – my Card Extravaganza on Saturday!
