This surprise pop-out panel fun fold card certainly packs a WOW! It looks difficult but is really easy – don’t we love that kind of card? I know I do!
How cute is this bear from the Fluffiest Friends stamp set with the Bee Mine Designer Series Paper? The bee hive die (from the Bee My Valentine bundle) makes a cave for the bear on this card.

This is truly an elegant autumn card using the Autumn Leaves Bundle.
The autumn leaf was combined with the All About Autumn Specialty Designer Series Paper and the Oxidized Copper Specialty Designer Series Paper.
Anything can be used as the pop-out focal point of the card. In this card, it is a bouquet of flowers fussy cut from the Delightful Floral Designer Series Paper.
These panel fun fold cards can be displayed a couple of different ways.
Another flower was fussy cut from the same paper for the card front.
Using scenery designer series papers might be my favorite way of making these cards.
The One Horse Open Sleigh Designer Series Paper has lots of beautiful pieces to use. The paper really does do all of the work.
The Meandering Meadow Designer Series Paper is another paper pack filled with beautiful scenery to use for this.
How fun to display these beautiful cards on your shelf!
The fronts of these cards can be the same paper or a different one that also coordinates, like this one.
Two different ways of closing these fun fold cards
The first way is with a belly band. Wrap a 1″ strip of Designer Series Paper around the card, attach it to the other end and add an accent over the seam.
The second way is to use a “latch close” which means the sentiment piece is attached to one side of the front and a different accent piece is attached to the other side of the front with space for the sentiment piece to tuck under.

How to Make a Pop-Out Panel Gatefold Card
These are the supplies you will need.
Score the 8″ x 5-1/2″ piece at 2″, 4″, and 6″.
The 5″ x 1″ piece piece scored 1/2″ at each end.
I like to make a mock-up of fun fold cards like this for future reference.
You will add adhesive to the two folded ends of the small white piece before attaching it flat to the middle of the card. It will look like this when standing up.
You will love making these cards for any occasion.
