The Merry Bold & Bright Designer Series Paper works for both Christmas cards (like this one using the Joy of Noel Bundle) or birthday cards.
Choose your colors from the accent piece, like this cupcake from the Circle Sayings Bundle.
Masculine and nature cards also work well with this faux twisted ribbon technique.
The Delightful Floral Designer Series Paper includes this fussy cut bouquet.
So, make your cards shine with a personal and distinctive twist – literally!
Supplies to make a faux twisted ribbon card
Mark every inch along both sides of the white piece of cardstock.
Place this piece on a Silicone Craft Sheet so that the long edges of the paper strips won’t stick.
Lay the strips going one way like this. Start in the middle and lay one strip at an angle right over the top of one of the pencil marks on one side and over the top of another higher mark on the other. Keep adding the strips.
Add the second strips going the opposite way.
Lift the entire piece off of the silicone mat and trim off the excess strips along the edges.
Add to your card base.
Watch the video to get more details on the entire process.
