Basic Design
Supplies:
- Start by adhering the 4″ x 5-1/4″ piece of Basic White to your card base.
- Adhere the DSP strips cattywampus style.
- Add your accent and finish off with some embellishments.
You can do the basic design with only one layer or step it up and add another layer. To add a second layer, cut the Basic White cardstock to 5″ x 3-3/4″ and a coordinating color cardstock at 5-1/4″ x 4″.
Notice how the card on the right with an added layer looks brighter. The paper used is Mediterranean Blooms Designer Series Paper, the images are fussy cut from the same paper.
Want to give cards to your coffee-lover friends? Here’s another variation using A Little Latte Designer Series Paper.

The deer is punched-out from the Winter Meadow Designer Series Paper using 2-1/4″ Circle Punch and then layered 2-3/8″ circle cardstock.
Here are more ideas with Meandering Meadows Designer Series Paper.
These are my favorite two punches right now because they look great on their own or layered like I’m doing today. These are the Labeled with Love Punch and the Heartfelt Hexagon Punch.
