What a long name for this mini Christmas card made with the Merry Minis Punch Pack. Its made with this fun fold so it unfolds and has five faces. This picture will show you that I really didn't know what to expect when photographing this card! This is the card pulled out:
Doesn't it look like a mini card?
Now, check out the front – it looks full sized for sure! Really, its the same small card!
This accordian Christmas card measures only 2 1/4" x 3". When it is opened, it will sit nicely on the fireplace or table. Do you see the tiny ornaments hanging from the openings? You could put little pictures in each window for a totally different look.
Below this stamping video tutorial, you will find the written directions. I know that it is often helpful to actually watch a card being made, so do whatever works for you!
How to Make this Merry Minis Christmas Fold Out Card:
1. Start with a piece of River Rock Card Stock 3" x 11" (or 3" x 12"). Score every 2 1/4" along the long side. The end piece of the scoring will be shorter, but that's fine.
2. Use the Postage Stamp Punch on each of the three middle sections to punch out a window. Put it all the way in before punching.
3. Attach a brad above each window for hanging the ornament.
4. Use the ornament from the Merry Minis Punch Pack to punch out six ornaments from the Candlelight Christmas Specialty Designer Series Paper. Two of them will be attached back to back around some linen thread so you will end up with three ornaments. Hang one from each window by wrapping the linen thread around the brad.
5. For the words below the windows, stamp "sending Christmas wishes" from the Joyous Celebrations stamp set in Real Red and cut each word out separately. Punch out three pieces of Real Red Card Stock using the Word Window Punch and layer one of the words on each.
6. For the front and the back of the card, attach a piece of Real Red Card Stock 2 1/4" x 3". On the last face of the card, attach two of the River Rock pieces punched out with the Postage Stamp Punch. This will be your surface to write on. For the card front, punch out three ornaments from a piece of the same DSP and layer it. Tie a little linen thread around the card and you are finished!
Isn't this a fun little Christmas card to make? Its time to plan what cards you want to make for this Holiday Season and get your supplies ordered. I am always happy to help you design a card that really fits you!
