I wanted to think of a different border idea for this Six-Sided Sampler card so I came up with this pleated paper.
Doesn’t that look fun? Its easy to do, too! There is a video tutorial below that will show you all the steps, but first, let me show you the design sketch that inspired me!
From Freshly Made Sketches 91
Here is the stamping video tutorial on how to make this pleated paper: (Be sure to catch the great tip for making flags toward the end!)
I hope you are inspired to try out paper pleating!
For this card, I used the Gingham Garden Designer Series Paper for pleating. I used Melon Mambo and Island Indigo for the colors. Have you tried out the new Hexagon Punch and the Six-Sided Sampler stamp set yet? (They coordinate with the Honeycomb folder as you can see on my card!) Get yours here, and when you do, I will send you some cards!
P.S. I am really excited to share with you the special card with its how-to video to be found only in my newsletter coming out later today! If you haven’t opted in, you will want to do so now – at the top of the right hand column of this page.
Karen,
Thanks for sharing this card. I enjoy your cards and they inspire me.
Thanks, Veronica! What a nice comment to make.
