Combine the Oh, Hello stamp set and the Secret Garden stamp set
from the 2013 Stampin' Up! Spring Mini and what do you get? This pretty handmade thank you card, that's what!
(It was an off day for my photographers, so just pretend its not cut off on the left side.)
This card shows how fun it is to combine stamp sets and framelits. (And, of course, I couldn't be without the Big Shot to do this card either!) There is a video tutorial below if you want to watch the step by step process.
For the base of the card, I stamped the large oval from the Oh, Hello set with Summer Starfruit directly on a piece of Whisper White Card Stock. I added the "Thanks So Much" stamp with Razzberry Ripple. I then used the same size framelit from the Ovals Collection to cut it out. Setting that aside, I took the next size larger oval, placed that over the front of the card and ran it through the Big Shot. Now, I have the base of the card with the large opening. I attached the stamped oval right through the opening onto the inside back of the card.
For the flowers, I used Gumball Green, Primrose Petal and Summer Starfruit ink to stamp the flowers and leaves from the Secret Garden stamp set on a piece of Whisper White Card Stock. Then, with the coordinating Secret Garden framelits, I cut those out and attached them around the oval of the front of the card with glue dots.
How simple is that? When you open the card, you can see the outline of part of the flowers and leaves which is interesting too. If my directions didn't make things too clear, this stamping video tutorial hopefully will!
The Secret Garden is a set of seven stamps including the leaves and the two flowers I used in this card. Those stamps are all bold so the color is made right while you stamp. There are also three outline flowers (and a stem) which can be colored in after stamping or left as outline stamps. I love the combination of these two looks so there is a lot you can do with this set! You will want the Secret Garden framelits with this set as well, so order them together as the Secret Garden Bundle and save 15%!
The Oh, Hello is also a set of seven stamps and its worth owning just for the large oval with the chevron pattern, in my opinion! I have so many ideas for working with that. I also love the rest of the set. Do you like the styling of the words "Thanks So Much" as much as I do? There is also a beautiful flower and both a bold and an outline stamp with the popular chevron look. This set also coordinates with the Ovals Collection Framelits Dies so order both of them as the Oh, Hello Bundle and save 15%!
