This Apple of My Eye card is a “double technique” card! It used two different ways of blending color – one with sponging and one with spritzing.
First, the side strip comes from the Color Me Irresistible Designer Series Paper. It started as a white strip, and when you sponge over it the color pops. I used Old Olive and Crushed Curry Ink Pads.
This ripening pear from the Apple of My Eye stamp set is created by stamping first in Crushed Curry Ink.
Next add some Old Olive with a Stampin’ Write Marker.
Spritz the stamp with water, and then stamping the image!
Hold the stamp down for a moment and let the colors run together.
A fun thing about this technique is that you can’t get the exact same look twice! But then, each ripening pear in real life has its own look too!
