Would you like to make an explosion card and never forget how to do it???
I came up with this story many years ago- long before I was doing anything online.
Everyone did the folds while I told my story at countless parties.
I have a couple of YouTube videos on this too – I will connect to those at the bottom of this post just for fun!
This card uses a 6″ x 6″ piece of Designer Series Paper. The base card is a 3-1/2″ x 7″ piece of card stock, scored and folded in half. This is a smaller card but will still work well with a regular size envelope. To make a regular full-sized card, use an 8″ x 8″ square of Designer Series Paper.
We were going camping and stopped to eat along the way. I ate a taco. (triangle fold)
but I didn’t stop at one – I ate another taco. (open and re-fold the other way)
and I was still hungry – so I ate a hot dog! (flip the paper and fold this way)
We finally made it to the camp ground and needed to set up our tent. (Open the fold and poke the center to look like this.
Fold into a tent shape.
Repeat on the other side.
The house is done but it looks a little tacky with the sides flapping around … so we will just tuck each of them inside.
and the explosion fold is finished. Put adhesive on the top and bottom and put it inside of a card.
So that is the five word story: Taco, taco, hot dog, tent, house
If it helps to watch me make this card and tell the story – go to 24:55.

Have fun making some explosion cards!!!
Do you ever hate to choose just one side of your Designer Series Paper? Show them both on the same card with this quick & easy card layout. First…
The Designer Series Paper piece is scored at 3/4″at the top and turned down. How easy is that?
Add any sentiment and a bit of ribbon and your card is completed. Here are the measurements:
You will get six cards out of one sheet of 12 x 12 Designer Series Paper using the 4″ width.
If you choose a variety of papers from the same paper pack, you will have a nice mix of coordinated cards to package as gifts.
Change up the Designer Series Paper …
Now let’s change up the look by cutting the Designer Series Paper smaller.
Notice how the color of the base card really stands out. (This Designer Series Paper is scored at 1/2″ and folded over.)
Here are a couple more cards using this layout. (Do you like the upside down flowers?)
By cutting the Designer Series Paper into 3″ wide strips, you will get 12 cards from one sheet of 12 x 12 paper.
And how about even smaller?
You can decide what size you want to use. Add layers by increasing those dimensions 1/4″ on top and side for easy layering.
**Beautiful new Designer Series Papers are coming – so use this idea with some of your current stock and make room for more NEW!!!
Everything is available only while supplies last – so don’t delay! Some of the items might go on sale in May – but we have no idea which items – so if there is something you really want, don’t wait!

This is how I prep for 160 demonstrators each making nine card projects!
In other words … I don’t do it alone!
and Tim makes lunch for us – Cuban Sliders (recipe at the end of this post)
For a special Fine Line Celebration (the Fine Line is the name of my group), Tim and I are hosting this big event. All of my downline coming to OnStage in Mpls this month are invited to a full day event the day before.
We will have nine make-n-takes throughout this event.
So that’s about 60 people … but that’s not all.
We will also do this event in the Facebook Fine Line group as well. Packets for all long distance demonstrators that are attending a different OnStage – plus all new demonstrators who joined our team during Sale-a-bration – plus their recruiters – will all receive the make-n-take packets!
