I don't know whether to call this a paper craft box or a paper craft basket. What would you call it? Today I am providing the directions, both written and in a video, to this paper craft box project.
These boxes are a perfect size for a set of cards and envelopes, but could also be used for other gifts.
Directions:
1. Start with one piece of 8 1/2" x 11" card stock. Cut 1" off the end so the card stock will now measure 8 1/2" x 10". The cut off piece will become the handle.
2. With the Scoring Tool, score 2" from the edge on all 4 sides of the card stock.
3. Cut on the fold line on one of the 2" lines at each corner. Fold on all the score lines and you will see the box take shape. Use adhesive to assemble.
4. Cut 2 pieces of Designer Series Paper to 1 3/4" x 4 1/4" and cut 2 more pieces at 1 3/4" x 5 3/4". Cut one more thin strip to attach to the handle.
5. Attach the Designer Series Papers to the sides of the box and the handle. With the Mat Pack and Paper Piercing Tool, put a hole at each end of the handle and on the two long sides of the box. Attach the handle to the box with brads.
6. Put a strip of Sticky Tape all around the top of the box. Attach Pleated Ribbon and box is finished!
So what do you think? Is it a basket or a box? Either way, this Paper Craft Box Project is an easy way to present a gift.
