Do you have lots of pretty Designer Series Paper on hand – just waiting to be turned into cards?
Let’s blast that stash with another quick but lovely card design with this 6 x 6 One Sheet Wonder.
How cute is this elephant (from the Zoo Crew Designer Series Paper) with the Bright & Beautiful Designer Series Paper.
You will get two cards out of each 6 x 6 piece of Designer Series Paper. The photos show one card with no extra layering and a second card with layering.
The card tutorial is below but first, let’s look at more of these cards. The Darling Details Bundle includes this lovely flower die cut which is used with the Delightfully Eclectic Designer Series Paper.
You will get a totally different look with the Fun on Wheels Bundle paired with the Delightfully Eclectic Designer Series Paper.
The roses are fussy cut from the same Masterfully Made Designer Series Paper that is used for the background.
How cute is this elephant from the Little Dreamers Bundle with the Stargazing Designer Series Paper? The Cloud Punch adds the extra detail.
The Hey Chuck stamp set is a favorite! Notice the two different colors of Glorious Gingham Designer Series Paper used on each card. Stack two 6″ x 6″ pieces of the paper and cut them together. Switch up the pieces to make this. (Think of all the possibilities this opens up!)
Easy One Sheet Wonder Layout for 6 x 6 Paper
So what do you need to get started? Just this plus a punch or die. (I used a 2-1/4″ Circle Punch but experiment with what you have!)
Here is the template for the 6″ x 6″ paper.
Your cut paper will look like this.
Each of the 4-1/2″ x 3″ pieces will have a circle, square or any other shape punched or die cut.
The complete template – but remember that the shape doesn’t need to be a circle.
Flip over the narrow strip and the punched out piece to provide the contrast. Add the narrow strip across the card front. Add the main piece and finally add the punched out piece using Stampin’ Dimensionals to make it pop up.
If you want to add layers, these are the measurements you will use. Punch out the circle before attaching the main piece to the extra layer.
Here is one more card with no extra layering just to remind us how simple cards can still be elegant! This card combines the Cheerful Daisies Bundle with the Inked Botanicals Designer Series Paper.
