Cut apart any of the papers as shown on this card. Also think about die cutting and punches!
How do you do the smooshing technique?
Here is one way:
Add ink to the glass mat. You can do this with ink pads, ink spots or Stampin’ Write Markers (not the Stampin’ Blends).
Spritz with water. The Stampin’ Spritzers work great for this.
Lay your cardstock (regular cardstock or watercolor paper) over the ink.
Pick it up and see what you have!
Let dry and repeat with a second color.
More Variations of the Smooshing Technique
Add several colors of ink onto the glass mat at the same time. Spritz.
Try different combinations of colors and ink pads vs markers and different amounts of wetness. Try both watercolor paper and regular cardstock.
(Hint: When using regular cardstock, spritz the back of the cardstock too to help it dry flatter. Of course, you can press it under books as well.)
You will end up with a variety of papers. Now you will have the fun of choosing which papers inspire you first! The rest can go in a bag for a later time.
The video below shows a variety of different ways to do this smooshing technique plus lots of tips on how to turn the papers into cards.
Tim created this with watercolor paper and decided to keep it as is. Do you see the trees?
