Today's card is the second card I have posted using the Stampin' Up! Autumn Accents for fall cards! If you missed the first post, you can find it here. Today's beautiful card uses an easy sponging technique with the Natural Composition Specialty Designer Series Paper. Scroll down further to see the stamping video tutorial showing this technique in the making of this card.
The Natural Composition Specialty Designer Series Paper is just made for sponging on! Because its already embossed with glossy, raised designs, it only takes on color on the plain parts. That means each part of the paper takes on its own look! You couldn't make the leaves look alike if you tried! Real autumn leaves take on their individual looks and so should our hand made ones!
All that I did to achieve the look of these leaves is to sponge them with Cherry Cobbler, Always Artichoke, and Not Quite Navy Inks after running them through the Big Shot with the Autumn Accents Die. To save on my paper, I cut it into small pieces which just fit the two leaves I wanted to use. I covered just those two leaf sections on the die each time and I was able to get a lot of leaves cut from my sheet of paper.
I used the words from the Wacky Wishes stamp set. I love the styling of the words in this set and I also really like the stamp "wishing you a". It leads right into the other words and can be used on the front of a card with the rest of the phrase put on the inside of the card.
The rest of this card uses two of my most used Big Shot items: the Top Note Die and the Square Lattice Folder. With a few of the Stampin' Up! embossing folders and a few Stampin' Up! Dies you can create so many different looks!
Since I called this my Autumn Accents Card #2, you know there will be more coming! If you need any supplies for your autumn card making events, you can order here. And did you realize that by clicking on any of the product names in this post, it will lead you right to the item in my online store? I actually impressed myself that I finally learned how to do that! (Better late than never…..)
Anyway, I hope you enjoyed this version of Stampin' Up! Autumn Accents for Fall Cards!
