This is a beautiful day for looking at Stampin Up card ideas with trees and birds! Nature is always a great theme for any occasion and all three of the featured stamp sets on these cards are retiring.
I love this first card by Carol Millay. She uses a single stamp, the Young Vermillion stamp (p. 20 #124092 $7.95) from the A la Carte Collection. The bird is lightly sponged with the Whisper White Craft Pad Ink. The Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder creates a nice background and the Scallop Border Punch provides a nice accent.
I have used this Trendy Trees stamp set often! (p. 108 #113258 $17.95) It is a set of eight stamps with two tree trunks, four tree tops, and two phrases. That is enough to create many different trendy trees! On this card, the trees were each cut out and popped up. Notice the three sections the main part of the card is divided into.
And, for this card, we will actually combine the two topics by putting the bird in the tree! Do you see how the bird is highlighted by putting it on top of a clear button? I don't know who made this card but I think that is a very clever idea.
This card is a pretty autumn card with the fall colored leaves. You can add some leaves on the ground as well as some bare brances to make it even a "later fall" card. This Season of Friendship Stamp Set also includes a snowflake and a flower so you can make cards for all four seasons. Wouldn't a set of four cards like that make a fun gift? The words in this set are "the season of friendship lasts forever."
If you like creating nature cards or if you make plenty of cards for men, these are some great stamp sets to check out before they disappear at the end of May. I hope its useful for me to share these Stampin Up card ideas with trees and birds!
