Today's card is an example of Stampin' Up! Punch Art for a baby shower card! Do you recognize the Cupcake Builder Punch used for making the 3D clouds?
Cupcake toppings and clouds share the same part of the Cupcake Builder Punch (p. 185 #121807 $16.95)
….and the rain falls down in the form of basic rhinestones. This is a calm day and the rhinestones are following the stripes of the Patterns Stack Designer Series Paper.
If you want to take this same idea but make a simpler card you can do this:
Notice this card portrays a windy day! Everything else is the same except for the clouds, which are not 3D.
This video tutorial will walk you through making this card step by step:
I love the "sweet baby" banner hanging on the Bakers Twine. This banner comes from the Itty Bitty Banners (p. 134 #126255 $15.95, #126257c $11.95), a set of six stamps, two each of three different shape banners. The sentiments include "congratulations", "for you", "happy birthday", "love you", and "thank you". These cover many different occasions.
Now, of course, you could cut these out individually, but why would you when you can use the Bitty Banners Framelits (p. 191 #129267 $14.95)? This set of three dies coordinates with the three styles of banners in the Itty Bitty Banners stamp set. I love having these little banners to use on cards when I want a small accent, but I don't want large words!
The Scallop Edge Border Punch is used to provide some interest along part of the card. Thats all that is involved! Isn't this a quick and easy card to make for that baby shower coming up? Or just make it ahead and have it ready for when the invitation arrives!
I love making Punch Art Cards. A while ago I posted two other samples of baby cards using the Owl Builder Punch. If you missed those, you can catch them here and here.
