Who do you know that has a winter birthday?
Make a fun handmade birthday card for them with this fun Stylin' Snowfolk stamp set!
One of the fun things about this card is that the body of the snowman is actually punched out of the background paper! Also…that belt around the snowman? The belt is actually made with the scarf stamp and the buckle is part of the hat stamp. To see how all of this is done, you can watch the stamping video tutorial below.
Doesn't the font in those words fit this image? Its the host set Wacky Wishes which you can purchase for only $10 when you have a workshop order of only $150! (Your own catalog party works for that!!!) The "wishing you a" fits into the Modern Label Punch and the other words cover thank yous, Halloween, Easter, Christmas and Valentine's Day so think of all the occasions you can use this for!
Stylin' Snowfolk has 22 stamps in it! That's correct – 22! The cost is about $1 per stamp so its a great bargain! And think about all the possibilites of snowmen and snow women you can create! The set includes the basic snowman with lots of accessories…..three hats, two sets of eyes, two different mouths, a pipe, a scarf, a bow tie, mustache, mittens, and much much more! There is also a bird, a tree, a snowflake and a star.
Below this video I have written instructions.
How to make this Stylin' Snowfolk card:
1. The Baja Breeze piece is a four inch square. Run it through the Big Shot with the Perfect Polka Dots folder.
2. Punch out the body of the snowman with the 1 3/4" Circle Punch and the space for the words with the Modern Label Punch.
3. Stamp the snowman head along with the glasses, nose, and mouth and cut it out. Stamp the hat twice and the scarf, both on a separate piece of Whisper White Card Stock. Cut out one hat completely and on the second hat, leave off the brim. Cut out the scarf, leaving off the part that hangs down.
4. Add the words and the snowman's stick arms and attach the other pieces. Its finished!
I made several cards like this and each of the snowmen had a different expression, even though I used the same stamps. Facial expressions are just like that – the slightest different twist gives a new look. Now, if you make use different eyes or mouth or add the pipe….think of all the variations on just this card!
You will have fun creating all the Stylin' Snowfolk you can think of with this stamp set!
P.S. I put this video on You Tube two days ago and I just noticed that Mary Ellen commented on the hat image and Mary Tyler Moore! I live in Minnesota so….yes, this is my tribute to Mary Tyler Moore! Thanks, Mary Ellen!
