Again you can see what the difference adding another layer of coordinating cardstock makes.
Foiled paper like this Merry & Bright Designer Series Paper makes classy gift card holders.
Here is the variety of gift card holders I have made so far.
How to Make an Easy Fun Fold Gift Card Holder
Start with an 8-1/2” x 11” piece of cardstock cut in half (4-1/4”) lengthwise. You can make two gift card holders in one sheet of cardstock.
Score your card base in half at 5-1/2” and fold.
Mark your front flap at 2-1/2” from the left and cut from the bottom edge up to the fold line.
Attach a 2-1/4” x 5-1/4” and 1-1/2” x 5-1/4” pieces of Designer Series Paper on the two panels. *If you want an extra layer, cut the coordinating cardstock on that size and cut the Designer Series Paper 1/4″ smaller making it 2” x 5” and 1-1/4” x 5”.
Close off the right panel by putting an adhesive on the bottom and right edge part. This will be the pocket to put you gift cards.
Attach a 3” x 4” piece of Designer Series Paper on a 3-1/4” x 4-1/4” piece of cardstock and attach this only to the left panel to make sure your card opens.
