Here are just a few of many stamping techniques you can use with one stamp set – one of my favorites – Rooted in Nature!!! All of the techniques are demonstrated in the video at the end of this post. (I share the time stamps if you want to speed ahead to see a particular technique.)
- Depth of Field – repeat stamping without re-inking creates several trees with a depth of field look. Time stamp on video – 13:30
2. Inking with a solid color – green, brown or black. If desired, color in with markers – in this case, Pear Pizzazz and Old Olive. Time stamp 18:20
3. Stamp the tree in green. Using an Early Espresso or Basic Black marker, remove the green from the tree trunk, leaving the dark color instead.
4. To curve the tree so that it pop out more, rub the Bone Folder several times from the center of the tree to the outside edges. Add dimensional in the middle before attaching it to the card. Time stamp 15:25
5. Create an autumn look with the Thumping technique. Stamp in the lightest color (Crushed Curry), then “thump” with a variety of Stampin’ Write markers. Time stamp – 19:39
6. Another way to make an autumn card look is to use sponge daubers directly on the stamp. See this technique at. Time stamp – 27:15
7. The Rock & Roll Technique gives these leaves a multi-colored look. Time stamp – 30:42
8. Use the new Embossing Mat to turn any Thinlit into an embossing folder.
Watercolor just the inside of that new folder. Time stamp – 35:35
