One of my favorite quotes is "A room without books is like a house without windows". (Actually, the real quote, by Horace Mann, is "A house without books is like a room without windows", but I like my version! Our kids say they grew up in a library.
The gift of reading is not taken lightly in our home. My husband Tim learned to really read at the age of 40 when he went to Vision Therapy along with our 12 year old son. About six years before that, he remembers trying to read a picture book story to our kids, and after a few pages, the oldest at 6 yrs, announced that they would just wait until mom came home to finish the story. He never read to them again.
Right after Vision Therapy, we went on our first all-expense paid Cruise with Stampin’ Up! Tim read his very first novel while sitting on the decks of the ship. What a great memory!
This card is to honor the gift of reading…….

Now, after 12 years of cruising with SU!, Tim still puts a lot of time and energy into finding a special novel to read for each trip. What a special gift from Stampin’ Up!
