Can you guess what my current favorite Stampin' Up! birthday stamp set is? I'm sure you have guessed it is Owl Occasions. Today I'm sharing this cute kid's birthday card with Owl Occasions! (Of course I mean birthday kids of all ages! Wouldn't you like to get this card?)
I just love this little owl and the balloons! You can see I went with a circle theme on this card. There is stamping video tutorial further down on this post to watch if you like.
The base of this card makes good use of the Big Shot. First, the Raspberry Ripple card stock was put through with the Scallop Circle Bigz Die. The Whisper White card stock was folded in half and then, with the the fold placed a bit into the circle, it was run through the Big Shot with the 3 1/2" Circle Originals Die. With the card stock placed this way, you can open the card. The front of the card was run through the Big Shot one more time with the Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder.
The owl was stamped in Raspberry Ripple, cut out, and popped on a piece of Pacific Point card stock. The balloons were punched out with the 3/4"punch and also popped up with dimensionals. Linen thread was used for the balloon strings.
If you have missed the other two cards I have posted, you can catch one of them here and the other one here.
Can you see why I love the Owl Occasions stamp set so much? I haven't even used most of the stamps in the set. Owl Occasions is a set of fourteen stamps in all. I really like the "to" and "from" stamps which, along with all the other little stamps in the set, would make great gift tags. Its a great set for kids to use as well.
For many of us, birthday cards make up the majority of the cards we stamp. That makes it fun to have a variety of birthday stamp sets to work with! I'm guessing that "thank you" cards and Holiday cards are the other most common. How about you? What kind of card do you stamp most?
So…who are the cute kids on your list? Whether turning 4 or turning 90, I think the kid in each of us would love to get this card. Enjoy making any of these three cards or your own variation of a cute kid's birthday card with Owl Occasions!
