The Swallowtail is one of my current favorite stamps because you can do so much with it!
Water Coloring with Stampin' Write Markers:

See what a striking look this gives. Its all you need on a Whisper White Card.
There is a short video below to show the process.
To get this look, I colored directly on the stamp itself with a variety of Stampin' Write Markers. The colors I used were Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie, Tango Tangerine, Island Indigo, and Rich Razzleberry. I made several of these cards and, since there was enough color left on the stamp to see where each color went, I could just keep adding color without cleaning the stamp in between.
Because the colors will blend together some, it doesn't even matter if the Swallowtail butterfly isn't completely colored in.
To get the water color look, I used the Stampin' Spritzer with water. I spray into the air and then move the card stock into the spray. That way, I seem to have more control over how wet I want the card stock to get. The video might explain this better.
The Swallowtail stamp will fit any occasion for card giving on your calendar this spring!
