Don’t these lovely greeting card holders make a pretty display?
If you are hosting a party with friends – arrange these in a basket and let everyone choose their own gift to take home!
Each gift packet has a lovely card on the front.
And it opens to a set of four cards with envelopes.
Do you see how there is no adhesive used on the folder itself? Its just folded paper and the ribbon that hold the cards in place!
I save some of my favorite cards from card swaps all year long to use for the covers.
Make a Greeting Card Holder in Minutes!
Start with choosing the card you want to put on the front.
Choose a coordinating color full size 11″ x 8-1/2″ piece of cardstock.
Score in half at 5-1/2″, rotate and score @ 2″. Cut the little wedges to make it easier to fold up the cardstock without so much bulk.
Punch holes 3-1/4″ down from the top of both sides.
*Punch with the cardstock folded in half so the holes will match exactly with just one punch.
*Use a scrap piece of cardstock as your guide so you don’t need to measure when you make more.
Thread the ribbon through the holes like this. Insert the four cards with envelopes under the ribbon and tie the holder to close it.
Use a card front for the cover. A standard card front measures 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″. Add another layer (in white or coordinating color) that measures 4-1/2″ x 5-3/4″ and attach to the cover.
Finished and lovely!
