Today I have a Stampin Up punches idea for Easter, sympathy, and baptism cards! All of these occasions and more (including first communion, confirmation, or any religious events that center on a cross) using just one Stampin Up Punch, the Scallop Trim Border Punch. I used it with the Mocha Morning Specialty Designer Series Paper, which is one of my favorites, but others would also look great.
Here is my Stampin Up project video tutorial where I try to show you exactly how this card is made.
As explained in the video, I started with a piece of 4 1/2" by 2 3/4" piece of designer series paper. I folded it in half the long way and punched it with the Scallop Trim Border Punch one and one half times. Then I unfolded the paper and refolded it the other direction, being careful to line up the scallops. This time I used the punch just one time and, instead of inserting the paper all the way into the punch, I lined the edge of the punch up with the scallops already punched the long way. The end result is a very beautiful cross. Hopefully, the video will make more sense than these written directions do!
To finish the card, I used the same Scallop Trim Border Punch along each side of one of the layers to coordinate with the cross.

I know I have said many times that the Stampin' Up! punches are my favorite go-to items when I want to make quick cards. It doesn't get much easier than this – just using one punch and some designer series paper to make a versatile card. I hope you enjoyed this Stampin Up punches idea for Easter, sympathy, and baptism cards! I'm sure you can think of many more.
