Have you made homemade cards with the collage stamping technique? Try collage card making with Nature Walk for a fun look.
By the way, where is winter in Minnesota? Yesterday I celebrated the last day of January with a nap in my hammock out on the back deck and a picnic lunch at the neighborhood park! (Granted, Tim and I were the only people eating outside so I guess we are well matched.) My thoughts are more with bird watching than with snow, so that brings us to today's card:
This beautiful card was from Ruth Norton. Notice the use of the Ornate Blossom stamped lightly in the background. It makes a nice collage background for the bird from the Nature's Walk Stamp Set. The birdcage and eggs stamped on the Riding Hood Red Card Stock are also from Nature's Walk.
The Polka Dotted piece of card stock and the ribbon and twine add texture. The black ribbon is actually the Black Scallop Dots Ribbon. It uses the plain side instead of the polka dotted side, which means you get two different looks from each of those ribbons. The narrow words, from the Thank You Kindly Stamp Set, are raised along the bottom of the main collage piece. Also notice the piece of torn designer series paper in one corner. The secret of a great collage card is in all of the details!
