Whether you have done much of that, or none at all, this is a quick and easy watercoloring technique you will want to try!
All you need is a clear block, some Stampin’ Write Markers, and a spray bottle of water!
I love silhouette stamps with this technique like the World of Dreams used here. (Serene Silhouettes is another great stamp set.)
You can watch the Just a Minute! Stamping Techniques Video below or just follow this written technique tutorial:
1. Choose the colors you want to use and scribble directly on your clear block.
2. Spritz with water using a spray bottle.
The more water you add, the more “watercolored” the result will be.
Experiment a few times to see what look you like….and remember, no two cards will end up looking the same. That’s part of the beauty of this technique!
3. Stamp on your card, holding it down for a few seconds. You can literally watch the inks spread.
Lift and see your watercolor background!
Just a Minute Stamping Technique: Watercolor for Backgrounds!
How easy and fun is that? Give it a try and let me know how it turns out!

I love this! It is beautiful! I never would have thought to do that. I just started learning watercolors. I normally work with acrylics so it’s very challenge and much less forgiving. lol!
