I know I've mentioned it before, but it bears repeating. This post is about Serene Silhouettes: My Favorite Stamp Set! …..at least for this month! I am sharing another card I have made with this set, but if you are enjoying these samples, you will want to be sure to be signed up for my newsletter on the right hand side of this post. In Thursday's newsletter, I will be sharing four more great ideas for the Serene Silhouettes stamp set!
Today's card:

The photo doesn't show this very well, but the birds and branches are stamped on glossy card stock that has been sponged with So Saffron ink. In real life, that gives it a nice shaded background look. I love using the Lattice Bigz Die as a background. Done in black, it makes a dramatic contrast with the So Saffron. The So Saffron card stock was also put through the Big Shot with the Square Lattice folder.
I'm going to share again the other three cards I have posted that use this set so that you can enjoy seeing them all together.
Here is the same stamp from the Serene Silhouettes set. This time it is stamped on a background of Shimmery White Card Stock that was water colored with So Saffron and Baja Breeze inks using the Aqua Painters. An embossing folder was also used, this time the Argyle Folder. A stamping video tutorial of this card can be found here.
This dramatic card was done with sponging on glossy card stock. I used the 1 3/4" Circle Punch in a piece of scratch paper to mask the background while I sponged the setting sun. Doesn't the Scallop Square Bigz Die make a great base for a square card? A stamping video tutorial of this card can be found here.
This card uses sponging again, but on Whisper White card stock. Doesn't that give a totally different look to the Serene Silhouettes? The colors match up from the smaller piece to the larger piece because it sponged at the same time. The stamping tutorial video can be found here.
I'm sure with all of these different techniques and looks, you are busy thinking up some more! You will enjoy four more totally unique looks in the Newsletter coming this Thursday, so if you aren't already on my list, be sure to sign up now. I want you to enjoy Serene Silhouettes: My Favorite Stamp Set!
